2025 ShenArts Artist Co-Op Submissions

Terms and Conditions for Artist Submissions

Eligibility Criteria:

Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
Residency: Open to artists residing within the Shenandoah Valley region, including but not limited to Winchester, Frederick County, Clarke County, Warren County, Shenandoah County, Page County, and surrounding areas.
Originality: All submitted works must be original creations by the artist and not infringe upon any copyrights or intellectual property rights.

Submission Guidelines:

Artwork Specifications: Submissions are open to all visual art forms, including painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, and digital art.
Number of Entries: Each artist may submit up to three (3) artworks for consideration.
File Requirements: Digital images of artworks should be in JPEG or PNG format, with a minimum resolution of 300 DPI.
File Naming: Each file should be named in the following format: LastName_FirstName_TitleofWork.jpg

Submission Fee:

A non-refundable submission fee of $25 is required at the time of submission.

Selection Process:

Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of qualified jurors selected by ShenArts.
Artists will be notified of acceptance or rejection via email on a weekly basis.

Art Delivery Details:

Artists accepted into the Cooperative will receive a welcome package that provides guidelines on when and how to deliver their art to the Gallery prior to the opening date (late April to mid-May).

Liability:

While utmost care will be taken, ShenArts is not responsible for any damage or loss of artworks. Artists are encouraged to obtain their own insurance coverage.

Reproduction Rights:

By submitting artworks, artists grant ShenArts the right to use images of the artworks for promotional and archival purposes.

Agreement:

By submitting an entry, artists agree to all the terms and conditions outlined above.
